Healthy love. It's an important topic and one we're expanding on in our new live event series aimed at teenagers and youth. We'll have a different and exciting speaker each month, talking about everything from gender dynamics to violence prevention to how to help a friend who is in an abusive relationship.

We'd love for you to join us. Some ways to incorporate this series are:

  • Show the talks in your high school class or club (i.e. Social Studies, Family Studies, Social Justice Club)
  • Start a high school club to screen the talks
  • Set up a time to show the talks to youth at your organization or centre
  • Use these as a teaching tool for youth, in any capacity

The talks will be held live at 12pm on the dates below, but the Facebook live links will be available so that they can be viewed any time after.

Please email nff@uwo.ca with any questions. Thanks for joining us!

The speaker line-up includes:

  • Steph Guthrie - A New Paradigm for Violence Prevention: Men Taking Responsibility
    February 14, 2018
  • Matt Schaaf - Men and Boys: Agents of Change and Empowered Bystanders to End Violence Against Women
    March 7, 2018
  • Julie Lalonde - Outside of the Shadows: Let's Talk About Stalking
    April 11, 2018
  • Jackson Katz - Violence Against Women: It's a Men's Issue
    May 31, 2018
  • Dawn Novak - Education and Prevention of Relationship Violence
    June 13, 2018
